Kim Norwesh is a talent builder who has over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources leadership primarily in the Healthcare industry. Kim has held various HR roles supporting leadership teams, global functions, and global and U.S. commercial organizations. Most recently Kim was the VP of HR for a $4B Hematology Division at Baxalta (formerly Baxter and now Shire) and played a key role in helping create the new commercial organization and culture. In a short period of time, they were able to build a highly engaged, purpose-driven culture that delivered growth and value and resulted in the business being purchased by Shire. Prior to Baxalta and Baxter, she served as a HR leader in various commercial organizations such as Dade Behring, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, and Terlato Wine Group. Kim prides herself in partnering with the business to build successful high performance cultures, engaging talent strategies and programs, and helping businesses grow including integrations, reorganizations and capability building.
Kim attended the US Military Academy-WestPoint and received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management. After graduation, she served as an officer in the US Army, fought in Desert Storm and received a Bronze Star for her distinguished service. She learned early in her military career that that having the right people and the right engagement can deliver the right results and she wanted to help others create that in their organizations. While serving in the military, Kim decided she wanted to use her military experience and leadership skills in the private sector, so she completed a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University to launch her transition.
